«Arogi» in terms of its multilateral charity work, decided some years ago to go a step further, and create a Welfare Center for children with special needs in the region of Attica.
This vision of Arogi was realized when the Axarnai Municipality recognized the need for such a

project in its area and granted the Association a plot of 3 acres in Acharnes. The campaign of the Association «Acharnon Station - Station Life» was launched in 2000 to seek donors and financial donations for the project, whose cost amounted to 550,000.00 euros. The Center was completed and is already operating in a building 900 sq.m. with indoor pool, sports areas, etc. The delivery of the project in the Municipality Acharnon and inauguration took place in November 2003 at the presence of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Mr. Christodoulos. The Center is a member of the municipality and administered by Acharnon Board which consists of 9 members including the President and two members of the Board of Arogi.

The Center is open from 8.30 am until 8.00 pm and accommodates 30 children in the morning and 25 in the afternoon. Members of «Arogi» donated a minibus of 12 seats, specially designed for transporting children. Also, the Minister of Tourism Ms. Fani Palli, who visited the center, offered another similar car, for handling the needs of children of the Center. The Center is open to whoever wishes to visit it.
