Organization, Operation and Volunteerism

The 11-Member Board of «Arogi», which is responsible for the smooth functioning of the organization and coordination of volunteers is elected by its members every four years. All members of the Association have the right to nomination and election.

The current Board of Directors elected in November 2006 iconsists of : Vicky Elliott (Chairman), Panagiotis Tzavela (Vice President), George Floros (Treasurer), Flegga Elnta (General Secretary), Eugenia Gkitzia, Voula Kapatsou, Kyriakopoulou Giouli, Matthew Marianna, Papachatzopoulo Chris, See Marino (Members) and Sotiropoulou Beta (Member and Legal Adviser).

Current volunteers include:
Gkitzia Evgenia, Grigoratou Elisabeth, Daverona Eleni, Elliott Vicky, Kapatsou Voula, Kyriakopoulou Giouli, Lambrinidi Aristea, Leventis Sotiris, Leousi Kaiti, Mathiou Marianna, Mpami Eleftheria, Mpetinaki Mina, Nafplioti Elpida, Nkolaki Marylou, Pagkoulaki Popi, Riga Anna, Riga Mei, Simantiris Nikos, Tsamadou Ioanna, Filippidou Marilena, Flegka Elda.

«Arogi» is informed by the Welfare State, the Church, schools, municipalities, communities and private companies, about cases of people that need our support. The project is based on the tireless contribution of volunteers of «Arogi», who check any possible information given to us, assessing each need for support. Volunteers meet once a week, discuss new cases and decide together what is due next week.

The work of the volunteers of «Arogi» is crucial because, thanks to them, the purpose and mission is successfully implemented. Since 1995, «Arogi» has helped a total of 510 families and now on a regular basis 60 families.
